Ø Poverty is no excuse for not achieving academic success or excellence

Ø For all means and purposes, you must be good in English. I don’t care what the Education Ministry says that Malaysia’s education is world standard, that is not right … we have gone to producing quantity and not quality …

Ø Education is the key to raising everyone’s societal status as well as to earn a decent income … reading is the key to knowledge and knowledge is power …

The above about sums up Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak’s Alsagoff speech and key message to teachers and parents at the SJK (T) Effingham’s prize presentation day in Bandar Utama on Wednesday Nov 22, 2017.

Syed Razak, who is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan in the coming 14th General Election (GE14), was invited as a special guest to witness the presentation of prizes and scrolls to kindergarten and Year Six pupils.

View the above links for details. Education is close to Syed Razak’s  heart as he had served some 11 years in Bandar Sri Damanasara schools’ Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs).
