Pek Moh Bukit Lanjan ropes in OKU welfare service coordinator

An Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) coordinator has been appointed for the Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff Penyelaras N.37 Bukit Lanjan 14th General Election (GE14) machinery.

OKU welfare volunteer M.P. Arumugam and Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Razak today (March 17, 2017) visited the home of 86-year-old V. Marieyaee to present her a wheelchair.

Syed Razak said Marieyaee needed the wheelchair badly because of her old age and weak legs.

“I am also most thankful to Arumugam for volunteering to help look after the needs and welfare of the OKUs in Bukit Lanjan. It’s indeed a very noble effort,” he added.

Syed Razak, who is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan in the coming GE14, said he would do his utmost best to help raise funds for the needy cause of OKUs in Bukit Lanjan.

“My biggest wish and hope is for the Bukit Lanjan voters to give me a chance and the mandate to represent and serve them sincerely and diligently with commitment and honesty after GE14.

“I will naturally have more clout to do that much more for the general welfare of the Bukit Lanjan residents as an assemblyman,” he added.

Syed Razak a.k.a Pek Moh Bukit Lanjan said: “As a local who also stays in Bandar Sri Damansara, I find public health and cleanliness sorely wanting.

“If the two municipal councils in Bukit Lanjan are providing efficient services, why are there so many garbage collection problems, why are there so many rats?

“Both the councils have departments to handle health and cleanliness complaints from ratepayers. What are they doing about the growing rat menace?” he asked.

He said health and environmental issues must be handled swiftly and effectively because it involved the health of the people of Bukit Lanjan.
