The way to check the anti-national unity antics of racial and religious bigots …

The young must be taught to appreciate the sacrifices of their mother as it is one of the most important values in life as they grow up to become mature responsible working adults.

If the young grow up to be unappreciative of the sacrifices of their mother, then society and the nation will also suffer the consequences of irresponsible adults who have no respect for the elders.

“In this respect, an important role of tabika (kindergartens) and playschools is to teach the young to respect their elders, especially their parents,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

Speaking at the Tabika Kemas Ara Utama Sports cum Mother’s Day Celebration (on Sunday, May 14, 2017), Syed Razak said kindergarten and playschool teachers and operators are, therefore, urged to regularly organise co-curriculum activities to help forge closer community ties among parents.

“At such activities, teachers and parents can also help guide their children to behave in society, to respect their friends,” he added.

Syed Razak, who is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan in the coming 14th General Election (GE14), urged Kemas tabika and private kindergartens in Bukit Lanjan to help contribute to positive nation-building efforts.

“Organise more interactive activities for children and their parents. This will help forge closer ties, thus promoting national unity for positive nation-building,” he added.

Syed Razak said the anti-national unity antics of racial and religious bigots had become “a very real threat” to society and communities in Malaysia.

“We must all ensure that our children, irrespective of race and religion, grow up to respect one another as Malaysians and for Malaysia.

“Daily racial and religious bickering will only work against the interest of Malaysians and Malaysia’s socio-economic progress. If the bigots are not checked, it will be a sad ending for Malaysians and Malaysia,” he added.
