Counter the racial and religious bigots or wait for disaster to overwhelm Malaysians and Malaysia
With the anti-national antics of racial and religious bigots at full swing to disrupt a prosperous and harmonious Malaysia, all peace-loving Malaysians must help strike back.
Malaysians, irrespective of race and religion, cannot afford to take national unity matters for granted anymore and allow the bigots to achieve their evil agenda.
“They must not be allowed to continue carrying out their activities freely without any counter measures from the majority of peace-loving Malaysians,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.
He said the best counter measure “that we can take is to organise more regular community programmes and projects aimed at strengthening national unity”.
“And, one of the best ways to do this is to revive the gotong royong programme that was once Malaysia’s foundation to forge multi-racial multi-religious unity.
“Gotong royong is by far still the best community programme to ensure and strengthen neighbourhood and community ties,” he added.
“Start organising Sunday gotong royong regularly to save our neigbourhood, communities and country from the evil intentions of bigots,” he said when officiating at a gotong royong programme in Tabika Kemas Desa Jaya on Sunday May 14, 2017.
He said the intentions of bigots “will surely fail if the majority of the rakyat (people) rise to counter them with regular activities and programmes aimed at strengthening nation harmony and unity”.
“If we take matters for granted, leaving the bigots to continue freely to influence communities and societies, the end result will surely be disastrous for Malaysians and Malaysia,” he added.
